Career Opportunity
The Plant Maintenance Department is looking for a Coordinator - Standard Operating Procedures. This position coordinates and implements all aspects of the Plant Maintenance Department's practices and procedures program. The role develops, prepares, revises, and implements all Standard Operating Procedures required for the inspection, testing, repair, rehabilitation, and overhaul of systems, equipment, and infrastructure maintained by the Plant Maintenance Department, and conducts reviews, audits, and prepares associated reports.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate and implement all aspects of the department’s SOPs program, including researching, developing, updating, and implementing SOPs related to the inspection, testing, repair, rehabilitation, and maintenance of Plant equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, and conduct technical feasibility studies to create new procedures or improve existing procedures.
- Develop safety, reliability, and maintainability standards and conduct audits and evaluations of new or existing procedures to ensure conformance with best practices and regulations.
- Administer the SOP database, control processes, produce reports, and deliver SOP training to staff.
- Participate in the TTC's Customer Service Ambassador Program, promoting a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination.
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs, and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?
- Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- Previous experience in technical writing, or in the development of procedures, standards, work methods, or processes in an industrial, construction, and/or maintenance environment.
- Sound knowledge of construction, maintenance, and/or safety principles, methods, and procedures as they relate to the maintenance of buildings, facilities, and plant equipment.
- Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and legislation (i.e. Occupational Health & Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act, etc.).
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and possess sound judgement, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
