What You Will Do
Provides mechanical engineering expertise associated with preparing conceptual and final mechanical engineering designs of building services including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, high pressure piping, fluid storage and distribution systems, bus hoists, and subway ventilation systems for all types of transit and related facilities and structures. Under the occasional technical direction of the Senior Mechanical Engineer, the incumbent reviews the work of Engineering Technologists in preparing mechanical drawings and specifications, reviews the work of outside consultants, assists in the preparation of standard drawings, and performs construction support activities such as field reviews and shop drawing reviews. Takes professional responsibility for engineering and design work as required by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
