Position
To be a positive team member that is committed to delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences. This position is focused on supporting and contributing to the success of Tim Hortons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team to provide exceptional guest service providing important visual cues for guests that make a positive first impression.
- Deliver consistent and outstanding guest service through friendly attitude, attentive behaviour, and strong product knowledge.
- Ensure every guest receives a prompt and warm greeting within 5 seconds at the front counter.
- Prepare all products as required, minimizing food waste, through production of smaller quantities of food more often throughout the day.
- Follow the guaranteed Always fresh procedure to ensure coffee, sandwich and bakery products are always baked fresh and accurate.
- Ensure that all products are prepared and served to the Tim Hortons recipe specification.
- Enhance the guest experience by following the SET principles: Smile, Eye contact, Thank you.
- Use proper procedures to ensure the accuracy of every order for every guest.
- Maintain speed of service targets by working efficiently with a sense of urgency to fill orders and meet guests' needs.
- Promptly execute service recovery for any guest concerns or complaints.
- Operate a Point of Sale System (POS) and handle cash.
- Maintain expert knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, specials, events and promotions.
- Regularly take temperatures of the required products and record in the Time and Temperature log.
- Follow all operational standards and guidelines for preparation of products and operation of equipment.
- Monitor fridge and freezer product inventory and submit order quantities to leadership team.
- Ensure showcase and product needs are always up to par.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
- Adhere to all Tim Hortons quality standards and principles and all Casino Rama policies.
- Ensure all uniform and grooming standards are followed on each shift.
- Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
What You’ll Require:
- One year or more experience in customer service, previous counter service/Tim Hortons experience an asset.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Ensure all restaurant policies are followed during the shift.
- Complete all required shift documentation.
- Have fun while making your guests' day.
- Positive attitude and people skills.
- Ability to present and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
- Cash handling experience using POS system or cashier register.
- Ability to work as a team or independently.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
