We’re building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. We need talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to doing what’s right for our clients.

At CIBC, we embrace your strengths and your ambitions, so you are empowered at work. Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.

We are inviting Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) students who have completed or will complete your Master's or MBA degree in year 2026 to be contacted by a member of our Talent Acquisition Team.

Please note that this is not an official job posting, but an opportunity to learn more about our Rotational Programs.

We aim to create an engaged team that reflects the clients and communities we serve.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

What You’ll Be Doing

When you join our Career Programs as a Summer Associate in the Technology Leadership Advancement Program (TLAP), you’ll join a team that continues to push CIBC as the market leader in innovative technology to make our clients’ ambitions a reality. The TLAP Summer Associate Role offers you an opportunity to pursue a 4-month internship with significant flexibility to create your own experience that aligns with your personal and professional development goals.

Your summer internship will be within the technology streams of the bank. This includes technology teams that align with business units like capital markets, wealth management, personal and business banking; teams that are responsible for our enterprise-wide tech functions like enterprise architecture, corporate center technology, Agile, and DevOps Centre of Excellence; teams that keep the lights on like Tech Ops, Payments, and numerous other teams. Based on your interest and business team demands, TLAP Summer Associates will take on roles like Business Systems Analyst, Product Development, Scrum Master, IT Project Manager, Solution Designer, etc.

You will also have access to your Internship Manager, Program Manager and Peer Mentor to advance your professional development by receiving tailored career guidance. You will be part of a vibrant community of talented professionals who are pursuing their rotations and will be part of your network as you commence your internship at CIBC. The various internal TLAP committees will provide you with an opportunity to pursue your interests and passion projects while simultaneously contributing to the development of the TLAP community.
