We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our Advanced Analytics team in translating business challenges into data-driven solutions. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Senior Data Scientist to digest business problems, gather and analyze data, and feed curated data into machine learning or predictive models. The role also requires maintenance of existing mule account detection models, from data sourcing through to the generation of potential mule account lists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Data Analysis and Model Development : Assist the Senior Data Scientist in understanding and refining business problems, analyzing data needs, and translating these needs into structured data feeds.
• Data Preparation and Curation : Gather, clean, and transform data from multiple sources to support model development and data insights; prepare curated datasets for use in predictive and machine learning models.
• Model Maintenance and Enhancement : Maintain and monitor the current mule account detection model, ensuring data feeds are accurate, timely, and comprehensive. Collaborate in enhancing model performance, implementing model updates, and addressing any issues in the data pipeline.
• Data Integrity and Quality Assurance : Ensure data quality and accuracy by performing routine checks and validation processes; identify and resolve inconsistencies and anomalies within the datasets.
• Reporting and Insight Generation : Generate reports and insights to aid in decision-making; interpret model outputs and support senior stakeholders in understanding the findings.
• Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with other departments, including compliance and fraud teams, to align model outputs with business needs and objectives. Effectively communicate data findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : Document processes, model changes, and findings; contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and support ongoing improvements to data practices and tools.

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role involving data curation, analysis, and model support.
• Experience with fraud detection or risk management models.
• Knowledge of data engineering tools and best practices, including familiarity with cloud-based data environments.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory considerations in data handling.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Experience with data preparation and cleaning techniques, and familiarity with machine learning concepts.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to support insights and reporting.
• Understanding of model maintenance processes, ideally with experience in fraud detection or risk management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Able to effectively present complex data and convey analytical findings in an accessible and engaging manner
• Ability to work independently while supporting broader team objectives.
