OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and well-networked Sales Director/Business Development Director to drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new accounts for a B2B marketing agency. You are an enthusiastic and engaged "hunter" with an eye for possibilities, always prioritizing the client's needs and goals.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in developing sales opportunities within a creative, marketing, or consulting agency. This background enables you to bring a targeted network, independently identify accounts and key opportunities within those accounts, then collaborate across team members to design solutions and close business.

You will represent the brand, interact with and pitch a range of digital marketing and B2B marketing services to mid-level to senior-level leaders at technology companies of all sizes. Strong digital and product marketing acumen, as well as knowledge of client industries, are required to build trusted and authentic relationships with key marketing budget owners and decision-makers. This role will play a pivotal part in business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Grow company revenue by identifying, prospecting, and generating new business opportunities within new accounts, ideally in the technology industry.
  2. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy and scalable execution model to achieve annual revenue targets. Construct sales plans, forecasts, and pipeline qualification and conversion criteria.
  3. Cultivate strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to provide strategic guidance, understand their business needs, and identify opportunities for selling, upselling, and cross-selling our marketing services.
  4. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and sales pitches to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of our services. Clearly articulate our agency's expertise, unique selling points, and results-driven approach.
  5. Lead new business negotiations. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and executed in a timely manner.
  6. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, strategy, creative, and account management to ensure our capabilities and delivery models meet the needs of the market and position us for success.
  7. Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, competitors, and best practices, developing a high degree of fluency in our capabilities, solutions, and value proposition. Act as a subject matter expert, sharing insights and knowledge internally and externally to enhance our reputation and thought leadership position.
  8. Regularly provide insights to executive management regarding sales performance, revenue forecasts, and key metrics. Make data-driven recommendations for improving sales strategies and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Minimum of 7 years of proven sales experience in a creative, marketing, consulting, or digital advertising company required. Experience selling digital marketing, content marketing, and B2B marketing services directly to technology companies preferred.
  2. Knowledge of B2B marketing, product marketing, digital marketing, lead gen, and content marketing strategies, tactics, and best practices is required. Understanding of the cloud technology industry, including familiarity with the products, services, and channel partner ecosystems of major technology companies is ideal.
  3. A track record of building and improving sales processes and managing opportunities within CRM systems, including audience intelligence, and strategic prioritization criteria essential to building and growing pipeline.
  4. Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of an organization. Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth within an agency environment.
  5. Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to meet client needs.
  6. You will have an existing network and client relationships and a history of success and attainment of targets in previous roles.
  7. Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to confidently deliver persuasive pitches and engage clients in meaningful discussions.
  8. Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  9. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
