Lead Accountant

Our client, a legal services company (headquartered in Russia) are looking to hire a Lead Accountant to manage three of its legal entities in Dubai, UAE.

The Lead Accountant will be in charge of maintaining all local accounting books and associated filings with the FTA and other government organs as needed. Additionally, the Lead Accountant will be responsible for maintaining ledgers, balance sheet, income statement, and cashflow statement, preparing & ensuring timely filing of VAT & Corporate tax returns in the UAE and ensuring compliance with the ESR requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working in a law firm or accounting firm preferred
• A minimum of five years experience in an accounting role
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Professional certificate holder (i.e. CMA, CFA or CPA etc.)
• Familiarity with general labour laws of the UAE a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the hierarchy
