Assist Project Managers with certain aspects of the life-cycle of all language/translation projects (place and set up jobs; contact linguists, set up deadlines and negotiate prices)
Juggle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Maintain the database and spreadsheet updated
Format using .doc, .PDF, and .xls files; import images from PDF files to Word documents, etc.
Handle billing; contact linguists to resolve issues such as invoice/word count discrepancies; perform data entry
Organize documents; scan hard copies onto the network; print files for big jobs
Complete administrative tasks including project set-ups, creating purchase orders, and tracking schedules for individual projects and the department
Liaise with sales staff to ensure all projects are submitted properly
Assist Department Manager to ensure all projects are assigned
Some Specs:
Setting: On-site (from the office in Itaim Bibi, São Paulo)
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 10 am to 7 pm
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; other languages would be an asset
University Degree (preferably in linguistic/translation-related studies)
Detail orientation with the ability to multitask
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Independence in carrying out assigned tasks
Ability to work under pressure
