What You Will Do

The Project Manager HVAC Systems is a key role directly reporting to the Operations Manager. You will be based in Dubai and will be a part of a growing team responsible for driving the growth of business for HVAC Systems.

You will be managing the project management team on the design and execution of projects. You will need to monitor the assigned engineering projects, QA/QC policies, performance standards, specifications, and will interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.

How You Will Do It

As an experienced Project Manager, you should have expertise in project execution and complex knowledge of designing HVAC solutions involving Chillers, AHU, FCUs in the Middle East region. You have to:

1. Initiate and respond to contractual issues throughout the contract & project phase.
2. Monitor project progress and prepare project progress reports and represent the company in client project, quality, and HSE meetings.
3. Be responsible for formal (letter) and informal (verbal) communication with clients and for invoicing processing and collection of payments from clients.
4. Prepare technical submittals and submit to clients and be responsible for production and issuance of design drawings/calculation.
5. Prepare and comply with project quality plan and Inspection & test plans and ensure full compliance of the project with specifications and client requirements.
6. Assume full responsibility for cost management of the projects, prepare and submit monthly cost reports to senior management for review.
7. Initiate change process to manage variations to contract and follow project to completion ensuring final payment.
8. Ensure key milestone dates are met; if delays occur, develop a plan to bring the project back on track.
9. Manage all allocated staff and resources to complete the project on time and be responsible for requests for resources within budgeted allowance.
10. Develop and train allocated staff.
11. Be conversant with company and client QHSE policies/procedures and ensure that operatives understand and implement them in their responsible areas.
12. Liaise with QA/QC and HSE managers on all aspects of Quality and HSE.
13. Prepare and submit project completion feedback report to sales dept.
14. Monitor progress of sub-contracted works, wherever applicable, and ensure all applicable QHSE documents are available at the point of use, particularly project-specific QHSE documents are available at the site.
15. Ensure complete project data/records are archived after completion of the project and are forwarded to IS dept. for effective archiving.
16. Ensure non-conformities in materials/products are dealt with in accordance with applicable management system procedures and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken to prevent recurrence/occurrence of non-conformities.
17. Ensure needed inspections and tests of products are performed, inspection & test records maintained, prior to products being handed over to customers.

Required

What we look for

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline from a reputable university.
2. Minimum of 8-10 years project management experience in execution of HVAC systems.
3. Recent experience of working at a leadership level in the GCC region.
4. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
5. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
6. Good interpersonal, negotiation, labor management, and influencing skills.
7. Determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost-effective solutions.
8. Proven ability to produce high-quality and impactful professional documents for clients and internal use.
9. Fluency in the English language is essential and excellent mail etiquette.
10. Decision-making skills.
