Role Description


Quality Assurance Engineer shall be responsible for supporting manufacturing process and product quality by learning and applying appropriate Goodyear standards and procedures to solve problems.


Main responsibilities:


  • Understand and can apply standard tools to improve customer satisfaction and process/product capability
  • Utilize and apply understanding of suppliers and Customer specific requirements (internal and external) relevant to specific manufacturing processes
  • Improve and enhance known technical solutions to meet product and process requirements
  • Lead improvements and develop processes within relevant quality guidelines and standards using appropriate quality engineering tools under the supervision of TTL
  • Track and report process performance indicators
  • Participate in Plant Optimization to deploy standards and to drive improvement under the supervision of TTL
  • Recognize and identify problems, achieve solutions with appropriate tools and methods that deliver defined objectives which meet business needs
  • Participate, influence, communicate and collaborate effectively within various teams to meet individual and business performance objectives
  • Support the implementation of new products / processes / technologies, utilizing applicable Quality engineering tools
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Product and Process technical specifications to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Audit for compliance and drive effective root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation under the supervision of TTL
  • Work on cross-functional teams to develop new technology (new equipment, compound, product)under the supervision of TTL
  • Make improvements or enhancements to current processes within functional group
  • Demonstrate ability to present technical ideas to others across teams
  • Drive new product concepts, processes, and technologies leading to innovations
  • Collaborate to solve problems and make improved decisions. Work within culture to collaborate between teams and functions Plants/Region. Use tools, techniques, and innovative approaches to achieve improved decisions through collaboration
  • Collect data to use in making decisions. Apply skills to achieve impactful results
  • Enhance project management tools (A3, DMAIC, BluePrint, MiniTab, BrainCube) and standards of execution for assigned projects


Requirements:


VI/VII degree of education (Technical or Engineering background)

Excellent computer skills and use of MS Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook)

English language skills

Team spirit

Adaptability, patience, ability to meet tight deadlines
